Home sales tumble to 7-year low (Reuters)http://us.rd.yahoo.com/dailynews/rss/mostviewed/*http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20090106/bs_nm/us_usa_economy_housing

A broken 'For Sale' sign is seen outside a home in the Queens borough of New York, November 21, 2008. (Shannon Stapleton/Reuters)Reuters - Pending sales of existing U.S. homes dropped to a seven-year low in November, data showed on Tuesday, as rising job losses and a deepening economic recession kept potential house buyers on the sidelines.

It will come back, once we start seeing houses people can actually afford again. I'd hate to be a new home buyer within the last three years. I got in just under the cutoff where it went absolutely crazy. I paid a little too much, but nothing like twice what the home is actually worth. Won't be in a position to afford anything bigger for at least five years.

Being brutally honest, Lionhead Studios' own Peter Molyneux gave BBC his industry predictions for 2009 and, truthfully, isn't really all that excited.

"Next year [2009], well, it's all looking a bit dry," admitted Peter Molyneux, adding that "all the triple A titles came out this Christmas." Continuing his lack of 2009 optimism rant, Molyneux mentioned that "there is stuff in 2010 we can look forward to, off the top of my head I cannot think of anything next year that really excites me." Well sir, with the utmost respect, we do not agree.
