About, dammit..

(Posted by alien - 2008-05-30 16:21:01.0) Permalink
I suppose I need an "about" section at some point..

what's it all about, man? A swarming of memes..? Preposterous!!

neo4j

(Posted by webswarm - 2008-05-27 22:02:24.0) Permalink
implement a MemeTome backed by neo4j and see how it fares against the MySQL-based (I have definitely hit a relational wall, in terms of the sizes of graphs I can load at-a-time)

comments on tagged URLs

(Posted by webswarm - 2008-05-26 23:05:05.0) Permalink
this should be easy.. currently the only UI available to tag a URL is in the Edit Tags (which only works on the seekng class of sites). This is fine, but for some reason 'commenting' on them is broken

something else to use

memecache overkill

(Posted by webswarm - 2008-05-25 21:49:10.0) Permalink
in its current state, a given MemeQueryCache may take longer to update than the interval between update checks (leading to overlapping updates, which hurt poor MySQL)

user reaction display

(Posted by webswarm - 2008-05-25 21:46:55.0) Permalink
OK, so I can "check" things now in the Topics, in a reasonably generic way.. that being done, i can better attack the list of tiny bugs.. ceasing dev on UserReactions for a spell

So, when I get back to it, the obvious filtering controls should be put into place (see *my* topics that I DIDN'T CHECK, or those that My Friends SMILED at, etc..)

$*(##$ SiloBreaker

(Posted by webswarm - 2008-05-22 13:03:37.0) Permalink
the real problem here is that Silobreaker (and many other feeds) don't provide timestamps on their feed-entries.. (this causes them to get stamped with current time)

then, the unresponded emergent item finder is sorting on datetime (in part), and favoring Silobreaker lots

These entries might be getting regenerated or updated over and over too.. need to look into that..

Several issues are leading to dominance of Silobreaker in the uncommented portion of results, so addressing it should cover a range of issues

fix up the react button a bit

(Posted by alien - 2008-05-21 16:03:03.0) Permalink
kinda gaudy right now

permalink heaviness

(Posted by alien - 2008-05-19 11:40:40.0) Permalink
too much is loaded, for instance, when clickign on a missive permalink.. mainly, the discussion itself should be loaded only..

on seekng, its OK to load the Overview.. but keep the categories and search panels closed, and load upon opening only

generic POST button on neoprog

(Posted by alien - 2008-05-19 11:37:56.0) Permalink
clicking it here causes dumb value to be shown in the Topic field (uPpostBtn)

taglib for curvy boxes

(Posted by alien - 2008-05-13 23:23:23.0) Permalink
figure it out.. tags gotta be easier now than v1.0, and those weren't bad

Items CHECKED, here

(Posted by alien - 2008-05-13 19:31:35.0) Permalink
this list is long..
a pain to read..
i know i mentioned it before, more abstractly via support of more user_reactions, but i need a fucking CHECKED tool so I can see what I fixed (and filter them out too)

URLS as links

(Posted by alien - 2008-05-13 19:30:08.0) Permalink
URL memes need to be links too.. just capture the clicks like we do with tags, but let crawlers move on

missive window mayhem

(Posted by alien - 2008-05-12 22:42:50.0) Permalink
this damn window is still going crazy.. should it even be a window?

they are in the corpus, after all

scrub bad stuff from feed descrips

(Posted by alien - 2008-05-12 13:55:16.0) Permalink
on neoprog, valleywag is destructive

lots of script calls, etc.. run the scrubber against the desc before displaying

comment summary uglitude

(Posted by webswarm - 2008-05-10 03:59:59.0) Permalink
on neoprog the comments look uggggly, underlined, etc.. just some style

Add Feed on neoprog

(Posted by webswarm - 2008-05-10 03:52:26.0) Permalink
without logging in, the add feed opens up a new tab and loads the feed.. it leaves the tab text as "undefined".. FIX

It doesn't do anything with the tree on the right, either.. FIX

memeKiller

(Posted by webswarm - 2008-05-09 10:56:10.0) Permalink
some ancient searches seem corrupt..
need to be able to kill them

other memes need to be killed too, at arbitrary times (perhaps the link is dead)

These kinds of these are left to the admin alone, of course

Topics w/o Titles

(Posted by webswarm - 2008-05-09 02:34:06.0) Permalink
they don't show up in neoprog.. not sure if they're saved or not

tag boxes

(Posted by webswarm - 2008-05-09 00:58:56.0) Permalink
seem to be missing on neoprog, while existing on seekng

Topic view crossing swarms

(Posted by alien - 2008-05-06 12:20:23.0) Permalink
clicking on topic on neoprog shows stuff posted on seekng, elsewhere.. default should be swarm-restricted

Topic control style

(Posted by alien - 2008-05-06 12:19:36.0) Permalink
topics need some padding/margin (aka .topicControl ._topic selector on seekng.com, for instance)

topics seem to work

(Posted by alien - 2008-05-06 12:16:53.0) Permalink
methinks.. this is a test

neoprogswarm tags broken

(Posted by alien - 2008-05-05 00:53:56.0) Permalink
a memeQueryException.. odd.. regression.. Tags work fine here, though

Topic posts don't work on neoprog

(Posted by alien - 2008-05-03 12:27:53.0) Permalink
dlg comes up, but you can't pick former topics..

maybe an actual post works.. will check that out.. need to fix the topic finder though
